ZOMA’s Third Annual Daffodil Day Fundraiser: 1,300KM for the Irish Cancer Society
When we launched our first Daffodil Day fundraiser, we hoped to do something meaningful for our community. What happened blew us away. And now, two years on, we’re back — bigger, bolder, and more determined than ever.
This March, we’re proud to announce the “1300KM for Daffodil Day” challenge: our biggest and most ambitious fundraiser to date. The goal? To collectively cycle, row, and ski the equivalent distance from Dundalk to Copenhagen — all from the rooftop of our Park Street HQ — in a single day.
Last year, you helped us raise €16,023 for the Irish Cancer Society.
We genuinely didn’t think we could top it. So we decided to try.
Why We Do This
At ZOMA, we’re a team that believes in showing up — for our clients, for each other, and for the community we’re part of. The Irish Cancer Society’s work touches the lives of almost every family in Ireland, including our own. Their free support services, information resources, and care for patients and families across the country are something we’re proud to stand behind.
That’s why we’re not just writing a cheque. We’re getting on the machines, sweating it out on the roof, and inviting the whole community to join us.
What We’re Taking On
1,300 kilometres. One day. Five machines.
We’ve expanded our rooftop ‘engine room’ this year to include three bikes, one ski-erg, and one rowing machine. Teams and individuals will rotate through the kit all day — from 7am right through to 8pm — collectively grinding out every kilometre.
“We wanted to push ourselves even further this time around. It’s a massive distance to cover in one day, but with more machines on the roof and the local teams getting behind us, I know we can hit the target and raise a serious amount for the Irish Cancer Society.”
— David Kieran, Managing Director, ZOMA
Join the Challenge — Compete for Team of the Year
We’re calling on local businesses, sports clubs, and groups to form teams of five and take on our Team of the Year challenge. The team that logs the most kilometres during their session wins a set of custom jerseys to mark their victory — plus five €100 holiday vouchers to get away from the Irish weather for a while.
It’s a brilliant opportunity to test your team’s fitness, have a great day out, and do something that genuinely matters. Whether you’re a serious athlete or just want to show up and give it your all, you’re welcome on our roof.
More Than Just the KMs
The 2026 event is shaping up to be our best yet. Alongside the main challenge, the day will feature live entertainment, refreshments, and plenty of craic. Come for the competition, stay for the community.
Every kilometre cycled, every metre rowed, and every dollar donated goes directly to the Irish Cancer Society’s vital work across Ireland. No admin fluff. Just real impact.
