The
Challenge.
Louth County Council is a prominent public sector body responsible for the economic and cultural development of County Louth. The council commissioned ZOMA to overhaul Visit Louth, the region's primary digital tourism portal. The objective was a complete end-to-end redesign and development of the platform to better engage modern travellers and support regional tourism goals. The project required transforming a cumbersome user experience into a lightweight, high-impact showcase.
The
Solution.
ZOMA managed the full strategic and creative execution of the platform, ensuring the site functioned as both a promotional masterpiece and a practical utility for domestic and international visitors. Developed with a focus on high-performance and scalability, our delivery involved a complete redesign of the Information Architecture (IA) and sitemap via a dedicated Figma wireframing process to ensure disparate content from heritage sites to local accommodation was categorised logically for effortless discovery.
We applied a high-impact creative direction to create a visually dense yet fast-loading design utilising high-quality assets, engineered to be lightweight to support carbon reduction efforts. On the technical side, we implemented a robust Open Source CMS using custom PHP to manage complex content taxonomy and large datasets. Finally, we ensured full public sector compliance through server-side caching and mobile optimisation to guarantee high uptime and performance across all devices.
