Viatel are Ireland’s leading independent provider for connectivity, cloud & security requirements. With over 20 years’ experience innovating within the industry and with the acquisitions of several firms in 2020, the Viatel group now cater for over 4,000 businesses and 28,000 residential customers in Ireland. Like ourselves, they proudly wear the Guaranteed Irish symbol, as they passionately believe in creating the right business conditions for business to prosper in Ireland.
Viatel approached ZOMA in the summer of 2020 with the need to develop their online presence and changing working conditions as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The first step of our strategy was to develop a website that reflected the innovative and powerful brand of Viatel. Our design included a balance of animated features and image sliders mixed with a distinctive font and bold block colours. With their simple but bold white background it created a unique look for their brand and content to stand out. Due to the large amount of content on the site, ZOMA developed a content management system that was highly customisable and delivered their news and customer stories effectively.
ZOMA developed a marketing strategy for Viatel to follow, to continue to be the leading light online in the communications industry. Our strategy involved developing amazing visual content (including both real life video, and animations) which would increase awareness and also increase user engagement. Since working with Viatel their average monthly organic social media traffic has increased by over 50% and they have seen a huge increase in user engagement. We have also assisted Viatel in developing their products and services like Voice4Teams through brand design and marketing strategies. We also assisted Viatel in marketing a number of their acquisitions in 2020 which included ad and content development online but also adverts in the Sunday Business Post and Silcon Republic magazine.
